Этимология потенциальных омонимов

 Джо (сегодня утром, задумчиво глядя в окно на машину школы вождения - с кофе в одной руке и сигаретой в другой): OK, a random one here... I was always wondering why they called lessons LESS-ONs. If anything, you get MORE-ON something during them, not LESS, don't you?

Я: Well, I guess the word MORE-ON had already been taken by then, and it was not the most obvious homonym for the new word to be associated with anyway...
